Transit Systems NSW celebrates another milestone on reconciliation journey

Transit Systems NSW celebrated another milestone on their journey towards reconciliation with the unveiling of a permanent acknowledgement of the traditional custodians of the land that the Sydney depots are built upon. Plaques, unique to country, have been affixed to each Sydney administration building and were formally welcomed by way of smoking ceremony.

Josh Sly, proud Biripi, Worimi and Wiradjuri man of Muggera Cultural Enterprise, allowed us to film the smoking ceremony, which was about healing, connecting back to mother earth, getting rid of any bad spirits and giving us safe passage.
